The ensemble L'arsenale in concert at the
53rd International Festival
of Contemporary Music

As in the past the Festival will conclude with a non-stop evening beginning at 6.00
p.m. at the Teatro alle Tese in the Venice Arsenal. Directed by Luca
Francesconi, the many events scheduled will vary in length and location in the venue.
Exit_02 will bring together very different audiences by offering them an
extraordinary listening experience. How many contemporary works for electric
guitar can also interest a vast public? And how many other works of erudite
music can steal the hearts of younger concert-goers? Why not let yourself go to the deep vibrations
of authentic blues?
Visitors will be intrigued by the compositions of Fabio Cifariello Ciardi
(1960) and Mauro Lanza (1975), commissioned by the Biennale for the occasion, for
hooters (high, low, medium), gurgler, crackler (piano and forte), croaker, buzzer-gurgler
as well as other acoustic and electronic instruments, premiered by the Ensemble
L'arsenale.
