Roberto Durante | piano, Hammond organ

Roberto Durante obtained a first-class degree in piano at the Conservatoire ‘B. Marcello' in Venice, under the guidance of Maestro Massimo Somenzi. In order to perfection his performance he has followed several Masterclasses and courses, given by Maestro's such as Aldo Ciccolini, Riccardo Risaliti, Pier Narciso Masi, Gustavo Romero and Lya de Barberiis
At the moment he is studying at the Music Academy of Florence with Maestro Pier Narciso.
He won the third price at the International Pianist Contest in Verbania, and at the national G. Rospigliosi contest. He is playing in several chamber music ensembles, from duo to quintet with winds ands strings, mainly in the provinces of Venice and Treviso. At the festival ‘Piediluco in musica' he performed as a soloist the Concerto for piano and orchestra KV 414 of W.A. Mozart, with the chamber orchestra ‘di Piediluco', conducted by Massimo Gualtieri. At the ‘Musica da Camera' Festival in Sappada he performed - together with Maestro Massimo Somenzi and the orchestra ‘I solisti in Villa' conducted by Walther Themel - the pianoconcert for four hands and orchestra by Leopold Kozeluh.
He plays in several jazz groups and attended, thanks to a scholarship, at some seminaries at the Umbria Jazz Festival, held at the ‘Berklee College of Music'. He is a member of the Arsenale ensemble, directed by Filippo Perocco and specialized in the performance of the highlights of contemporary music as well as [?]. From 2006 he teaches the piano at the Music School of Villorba.
